Peer Support

The Single Parents’ Association’s peer support program provides the opportunity to get to know other families in similar situations and share life’s struggles and joys. Through peer support you can find friends for your children and new ideas for hobbies.

In the peer support program you can also take the role of a peer group leader. You can also be a supervisor at events, camps and trips working together with other peer group leaders or with professional staff.

Single Parents Group in WhatsApp and Zoom

This is an international English speaking group for single parents for peer support and belonging to a safe community. Zoom meetings take place every second Wednesday (organised by volunteer Maria). WhatsApp group is always active. Welcome to create friendships, socialize and find others in the same situation!

Mad Hatter´s Art Lab – Create Art with Your Child

If you´re socially less fortunate, not so creative or artistic, this group is your match made in heaven. Make the messiest mess, if you dare, teach your child to act weirdly and be playful, experience something new and get lost to see what happens. Laughter and tea guaranteed. Don’t try these at home!

This art and grafts group will operate from the cloud 9 (Petter Wetterin tie 6, Helsinki) and it will be tour guided by Us and Rin (Susa and Iryana).

KidCare – Tenavatupa

KidCare is a service that gives single parents the chance to participate in civic action and spend time on their own interests. It is particularly important for families missing social networks. Currently the childcare is provided during the activities of The Single Parent Association, organizational meetings, peer support groups, some lectures etc.

Arranging child care is a must for single parents wishing to be active outside the home. As KidCare is free of charge, all families, regardless of financial means, can benefit from this service.
