All single-parent families are welcome – whether you’re:

  • divorced or separated

  • widowed

  • parenting alone by choice or by circumstance

  • sharing custody or co-parenting

You don’t have to be a Pienperheyhdistys member or speak Finnish. Many of our services are multilingual, and our team is patient and friendly.

Most services are free, including:

  • Family CafĂ©s

  • Peer support groups

  • Childcare (Tenavatupa)

  • Grandmas & Male Buddies for kids programs

Some events and camps have a small fee, but discounts and free spots are available for low-income families.

âś… Do I have to commit long-term?

No. You can:

  • come once, or come every week

  • join one event only, or become a member

  • just observe quietly, or jump in and help

Your level of involvement is always your choice.

âś… Can I join as a refugee, student, asylum seeker, or migrant?

Yes. We welcome all single-parent families – regardless of your background or legal status. You matter. You belong here.
